Clean furniture with natural products

Tables. They draw cats like nothing else, except countertops. (And paper.)

So I like to clean wood tables with something safe and natural, and Method fits the bill with their Daily Wood Surface Cleaner. You can use it on kitchen cabinets and for spot-cleaning wood floors, too.

Prefer the fragrance of sandalwood and tangerine as you polish your wood furniture? Try  Howard Naturals Wood Preserver. Supposedly, it is recommended by antique dealers.

Remove stains and keep that sandalwood and tangerine vibe going with Howard Naturals Upholstery Cleaner.

To deodorize upholstered furniture, I spray it with Green + Clean Carpet and Upholstery Odor Remover. Unlike your well-behaved dogs and cats, my pets sprawl out on the sofas and chairs. It works on rugs and carpet, too.

Glass-topped tables, lamps, and mirrors will sparkle after being cleaned with Seventh Generation glass cleaner. The catch? It has no fragrance. So to get your fix, use mint-scented Method Blue Sky glass cleaner. Also check out my bathroom cleaning page for Mrs Meyers window cleaning recommendations.

Save on paper towels, and use microfiber cleaning cloths. If you buy a dozen or so, you can wash and reuse them for years. They work on any surface and using them is better than throwing away, or even recycling, paper towels.

Do you need a portable light source that you can position better than a handheld flashlight? How about this Burro light? It is adjustable and sturdy, and has four brightness settings. You can even use it to read the excellent book about its development: Bright Lights, No City.
